FAQ
Most customers want to know about the answers of questions as followed.
Electricity safety is extremely important.
1. Does the power strip protector have connected equipment warranty?
Ntonpower’s connected device insurance PICC is only available for the US power strips, and there is no such warranty in other countries.
However, if there is any malfunction within 18 months of our product, you could apply for a refund or reshipment of a new one.
2. Are Ntonpower’s US power strips able to take 220-240V input if plugged into a European socket with an appropriate adapter?
If you would like to plug our three-pin socket into a European adapter to use it, you could do this to use the USB ports, because the USB port has a wide voltage and supports usage from 120-240V.
And the power strip is just a medium. Whatever your local voltage is, the output will be the same.
But when you want to plug an electrical appliance into the AC outlet,
you need a transformer when using the AC port to ensure its safety if the electrical appliance is not with a wide voltage.
3. I just placed an order but the address is wrong, how can I modify it?
You can send an email to this email address: service@ntonpower.com to remind us to change the address. Please attach your order number and correct address information. We will check the email address before shipping.
4. How to quickly apply for replacement products due to product quality problems?
All Ntonpower’s power strips have an 18-month warranty. During this period, if there is a non-man-made product defect with the power strip, such as the socket being completely unable to charge appliances, you can contact us via email, provide the order number and a video proof that the power strip cannot charge or have other quality problems. Then we can quickly confirm whether it meets the condition for replacement and provide you with a reasonable solution asap.
5. What's the difference between a surge protector and a power strip?
A power strip gives you the ability to plug multiple devices into a single wall outlet. A surge protector is a type of power strip which is specifically designed to withstand a power surge and keep your electronics safe.
6. What is the advantage of a surge protector over a power strip?
Surge protectors add a layer of protection between your device and the electrical grid.
It is recommended to use a power strip with surge protection to protect expensive or critical electronic devices.
7. What is a power surge?
A power surge is a sudden spike in electrical current. While it only last for microseconds, the damage it can cause to electrical devices can be costly.
8. What kind of surge protector do I need?
The average surge protector protects electrical devices between 300 – 600 joules.
The higher the joules rating the more protection the device offers. We recommend to always go for the higher joule rating for sensitive equipment.
10. Are surge protectors necessary?
Surge protectors are worth the investment but are typically not necessary. It is recommended to use a surge protector to protect your valuable electronics, for example your TV, Computers, Laptops, etc.
11. Here are some ways to prevent or tell if your power strip is overloaded.
Surge protectors are great because they provide several outlets. However, depending on what you’re plugging in, not everyone should be used. Most things we plug in, such as a phone, computer, or gaming console, don’t use much power. Items in your kitchen, such as a toaster, crockpot, or skillet, would draw more power and potentially cause issues.
12.The description says :100~240V, why only 125V on the package?
NTONPOWER Power Strip can support 100-240V for travel use. But the product itself and the manual only state 125V. according to the new changes in NRTL certification requirements, we are not allowed to print 100-240V on the product itself.
